Evan Lowenstein

Since joining Lowenstein Sharp Feiglin Ades way back in 1985, and subsequently being made an Associate of Lowenstein Sharp in 1995 Evan  has developed great skills in assisting his stable of younger and mid-career artists.

In July 2002 as the joint Managing Partner of the Melbourne office, with responsibility for the artist client base, he has been able to bring his abilities to bear on servicing the needs of all clients in an efficient and friendly manner.

Not only is he an avid collector of art, but he has also been on the Board of various arts organisations for visual and performing artists. Among these were: Gertrude Street Artist Spaces, the Centre for Contemporary Photography, National Association for the Visual Arts, Theatreworks and Lucy Guerin Inc .

He is currently involved on the Board of a number of Not- for- Profit arts organisations in theatre and in the visual arts as well as on the Executive of the Australian Artists Association Inc.

He also lectures at major Art Schools and Universities on the subject of taxation and the arts to new graduates and academics.

Evan also specialises in advising on philanthropy and Not-for-Profit organisations and is the Editor of Taxation Matters for the Arts – the quarterly Newsletter of Lowensteins.

Evan graduated from Monash University in 1983 with a Degree in Economics, majoring in Accounting.
